GVI Service Centre offers free local pickup and drop-off, and free courtesy cars with bookings, subject to availability. Ask for either when you book and we will confirm the details and arrange it.
Getting a car serviced should not mean losing half a day. We offer two ways to make it easy, and you can use either or both.
Free local pickup and drop-off
We can collect your car from home or work and bring it back when it is done. Ask for pickup when you book and we will confirm the details. These are the suburbs we look after most:
Free courtesy cars
If your car needs to stay with us, you can borrow a courtesy car. They are free, available with your booking, and subject to availability, so ask when you book rather than on the day. Many customers mention the courtesy car in their reviews; it is one of the things people value most.
Prefer to wait, or to drop in on your way?
- Wait on site. Our air-conditioned lounge has coffee, wifi and space to work. Most WOFs can be done while you wait.
- Leave it and take the train. Penrose station is a two-minute walk, so you can leave the car and carry on into town or home.
- Drop off early. Early drop-off from 7:30am and after-hours key drop are both available.
How booking with pickup works
- Book online or call, and say you would like pickup or a courtesy car.
- We confirm the details and agree a time that suits you.
- We service the car and quote anything extra before doing it.
- We bring it back, or you collect it, and your courtesy car goes back.

Can I have a courtesy car for a WOF?
Most WOFs are done while you wait, but if your vehicle needs repairs and has to stay, ask for a courtesy car when you book.
What if I live outside the area?
Call us on 09 579 6083. Depending on the job and the address we may still be able to help, and Penrose station is a two-minute walk from the workshop if you prefer to use the train.
